In 60 days we have traded mountain peaks for desert canyons, alpine streams for deep rivers. We have seen the river grow from a small trickle to a raging torrent. It has carried us through fields and farms, reservoirs and rapids. We have made it far, but still have much further to go. It is both daunting and exciting to think of what still is waiting for us downstream. We welcome the challenge everyday just as much as we welcome the sun, with thankfulness and glee.
"I guess the goal is to follow the river from source to sea. To be able to see the entire course of a river, whether it’s exciting rapids or mindless reservoirs. To do what everyone wants, but no one does."
