Originally from Florida, I didn’t reach the outdoors until my family moved to Boise, Idaho in 2007. When I was about 6 years old, my dad took me out fishing on the Boise River with a can of worms and a spin rod. We landed a very respectable brown trout, about 20” long. I was immediately hooked and for the next five or six years, I’d continue begging him to take me to stocked ponds or bike to neighborhood bass ponds alone, getting ran out of backyards by grumpy, old homeowners. When I was about 12 years old, my dad purchased a fly rod and some flies for us to try our luck something new. At the same time, he was offered a job back down in Florida and left me to either drop it or pick it up. Next thing you know, my poor mother was driving me hole to hole on the Boise River while I was annoying fly shop employees and spending hours on youtube because I was more than addicted.

A Bachelor’s degree in the School of Journalism at the University of Montana awaits me come Spring 2022. In the meantime, summers are spent working retail and running some  guided fly fishing trips at Picabo Angler throughout the Big wood river valley in Idaho on renown waters like Silver Creek, the Big Wood River, the Big Lost River and the Salmon River.

This sport is not only a passion, but is my lifestyle. I’m beyond thankful I get to continue pursuing my dream to travel, fish, and film. But also to work at welcoming the next generation of anglers into the industry as nobody should miss an opportunity to be out on the water, surrounded by fantastic, outdoor communities, just like Chums! Tight Lines.
