Tideline Adjustable

Like other reviewers, I thought this would be great for preventing glasses from slipping down my nose. It is WAY too long for that. It will keep you from losing your sunglasses but that is about it. Smallest adjustment still allows for about an inch of movement. Oakley glasses are not extra long and my hat size is medium to large. This may be perfect for an XX large head. I would like to see a TideLine adjustable that goes from 6 to 12 inches. I would fit at ~8 to 9 inches to really hold the glasses in place.

Super functional and strong. Really like adjustability and fit to ear pieces.

Had the short cloth type for 25 years. Wish that style was still available. These are a great option for people who like the shorter style

I thought I had a big head but this is way off. Way too big for my head. POV: (Silver Lining) Maybe I don't have a big head after all.

Love everything about this retainer except that I cannot snug it against my head. I would need to be able to cinch it to 8 or 8.5 inches versus the 11 inches smallest length on the current product. I’m about to dismantle my purchase to see if I can DIY a fix, but I am not optimistic. And I would not prefer one of the alternative products where the strap dangles down your neck.

These work perfectly for what I need. I do not need a retainer that holds my glasses tightly to my face. I can see that might be a limitation as the cord would be a bit long for that. I do like the option of the smaller earpieces. That is the main reason I chose this model. I have found other styles to be too large and painful to be worn for any length of time.

My husband uses this retainer with his Custom Latch Oakley sunglasses and they are perfect! His job requires him to be inside & outside back and forth constantly and these retainers have held up to the constant back and forth.
The customer service we received was also exceptional - if we ever need to purchase a product like this we will be looking at Chums first!

Title says it all, too short to hold to my head but so long, and real stiff, that you can't wear a hoody, or really any jacket.

It seems well made, it’s definitely lightweight, and taking it on/off seems to work well, but the product doesn’t do what I want it to do and what I think it’s main purpose is, which is to hold my glasses on my face snugly. The best it does is (barely) keep glasses from falling off the end of my nose. NOT why I asked for it as a Christmas gift! Product needs to cinch shorter.

You failed the objective they will not go small enough to actually do what I bought them for. That is to hold them to my face maybe you will actually one day make one that will hold them on my head which is what I thought I was buying, nope, fooled again.

If the intention for this device is to hold your glasses snugly to your head, this is a fail as the cord is too long to cinch tightly.

Love the tidelines! But I wish Chums would of sent me the silver ones I ordered instead of the black ones I received. Not the end of the world.

These are very well made and should last years if the silicone holds up….but they are too short for me. I use these to hold my readers around my neck and their length keeps them too high towards my neck. I’ll return them and try something else.

Is there a way to order additional tips?
Otherwise they are great. I am the opposite of most I have read. Giant head. They could be longer, for my personal needs.

Inshore or offshore these are the best retainers hands down ! I wear prescrips and they are easy on the ears and the wallet , you owe it to yourself to give'em a try

So far after two weeks, I like the product very much. It is unobtrusive, and holds the glasses well. So light I do not feel it. Great product.

These are the perfect retainers for my sunglasses. They have thing arms which the small size ends fit perfectly and they hold the really light weight aluminium frames on my head in a way that makes them feel like they won't just fly off (the glasses won't just fly off even without retainers but it's nice to feel the extra weight holding them on). Perfect retainers for me, but I can certainly see how some would find the retainers do not shrink tight enough as they do not hug the head.

Need to offer smaller sizes for children and adults with smaller heads. I.e. less than 10 inches. e.g. 6 to 10 inches.

These are so close to perfect! The narrow frame grip option fits great on my thin frames, however, the wire doesn't tighten enough to fit snugly on the back of my head. That little gap means that they slip down my nose when I'm using them for activities. Please make options for shorter wire lengths!!

The Tideline is a nicely crafted retainer that will definitely keep eye ware on your head. I don't use them because I am unable to snug the strap up like I can with the traditional cloth Chums. My eye ware will not stay snug without a close fitting strap and in this the Tideline has failed me.

Was excited to try these on my fishing sunglasses due to the adjustable length on the cable and the adjustable silicone sleeves for temple tips. I feel the silicone sleeves would fit a great variety of sunglasses styles. I know my glasses are secure no matter what I'm doing. Great, well designed product. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Every now & then a company comes up with a revolutionary idea to enhance a common product, chums has done just that with the new Tideline retainer. With the silicone temples( won’t crack or break like rubber) & new interchangeable retainer with the new harpoon tips. All you need are multiple temples on all your glasses & just one retainer! What a genius idea! Love mine as I need several different sunglasses lenses depending on water & weather!

Having the ability to adjust the tightness is for when I’m hopping around out in the jetty rocks and looking straight down. Keeps my optics secured and safe from falling into the crevices. Easy to use and perfect for the angler on the go.

Been rocking the heck out of these on all my many pairs of shades while on the water. The removeable and interchangeable ends allow you to move them from one pair of shades to another with a snug fit at all times. 11/10 would recommend
