Nice design, but

I really like the design and ease of use. Easy adjust, firm hold on the glasses. I did notice an issue after I tightened them. When taking them off, I pulled on a certain spot and the second section back from the glasses separated. I was able to push it back in and felt a snap, but not sure if it is a good as it was. That common?

Excellent

I've tried other products but yours are perfect for me.

How to shorted Orbiter cable

I have a big head and the Orbiter would not hold my glasses snug. I tied a bow in the end of each one and now they are a perfect fit for me.

I absolutely adore this product! When I go hiking, the weather often shifts between sunny and shady conditions. This product, the Adustable Orbiter, allows me to conveniently use, carry, and switch between them with ease.

Please, a shorter option!

What several others have said. Please make a shorter option that can hold glasses snug for things like running, biking, river rafting, etc. That would be great!

Looks and acts as shown, but not great in practice

The idea and workings of these are great, but I agree the wire is too long. Additionally, as someone with longer hair, if it's on top of my hair it either sticks out really far, or is shoved down by my hair making it press on my ears. it's so close to perfect.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Adjustable Orbiter. We're glad that it looks and acts as shown, but we understand your concerns regarding the wire length and its compatibility with longer hair. We appreciate your feedback and will definitely take it into consideration as we work towards improving our product. Thank you for your support and we hope you continue to enjoy using the Adjustable Orbiter. Have a great day!

A few things that would make these nice

These are well built retainers. I'm constantly having to deal with my glasses not staying in place. Even with silicone nose pads, after having had my nose chiseled down, they still don't stay in place unless I have a good retainer that keeps the frames tight to my face. I was excited when I saw these and was happy to have them come with two pairs of grips for slim and thicker earpieces. The two faults I have with them are that they don't allow for me to get my glasses tight to my face. (the cables are just a bit too long for my head) and the way they adjust is great but the pieces that hold each cable together needs to grip the cable a bit tighter so that they are less likely to slide loose. On last thing is that the smaller grips are grey colored. I would rather have them black to match like the larger grips do so the retainer is less likely to stand out. If these retainers have been the best ones that I've found to wear in more formal situations. I like the fact that they eliminate having a cord hanging on the back of my neck or getting caught on my shirt or jacket collars.

Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Adjustable Orbiter. We're glad to hear that you appreciate the quality and versatility of our product. We understand the need for a tight fit and we apologize if the cables are a bit too long for your head. We will definitely take note of your feedback and see how we can improve the grip on the cables. Also, thank you for the suggestion to have the smaller grips in black to match the larger ones. We will consider that for future updates. W Thank you for choosing our product and for your valuable feedback. Have a great day!

Had to return, still too small after max adjustment

The design of this product is great, I was really excited about the mono line and the particular way the cable adjusts, however, the product is absolutely useless because the smallest adjustment is still too large to fit glasses to my face. Just offer a smaller size Chums c'mon.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Adjustable Orbiter. We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to hear that the product did not meet your expectations. We understand the frustration of not being able to adjust the cable to fit your glasses comfortably. We will definitely take this into consideration and work on offering a smaller size option in the future. Have a great day!

Amazing customer service

My adjustable Orbitor’s broke on a kayak trip and I sent in pictures of the damage and within minutes Morgan at customer service responded and approved my replacement. This is why I will always buy chums. Thank you for all that you do! Grateful Customer.

Hi John, we're glad we got that replacement out to you. Thank you for being such a loyal customer and sending great feedback!

Same issue as previous comment, can't get it tight

so I love the design, quick delivery, and adjustable system. unfortunately as a previous poster wrote they do not adjust tightly to my head (note I have a size 7 7/8 hat size, so I got a big NOGGIN!)

as I am using it to hold my dental loupes, I need it tight against my head to make sure I can see clearly, which unfortunately is not possible. good product, but please make a smaller size CHUMS!

Perfect for keeping your glasses in check during exercise

My glasses would always fall off after 13-14 pushups. Now my glasses always stay in place and I forget the Adjustable Orbiter is even there, because there is no tail flailing around.

I see that some people want a shorter cord, the problem with this request is that the cord needs to be long enough to easily slip over your head when fully extended. When cinched down all the way, it is true that the cord might not be snug up against the back of my head, but it really doesn't need to be to keep your glasses from falling off. Actually if there was zero wiggle room between the cord and your head, you would then be more aware of its presence. I wouldn't let the cord length prevent you from trying this excellent keeper.

Works Perfect!!!

I have used CHUMS brand retainers for years on my Hunting and Fishing glasses. Now that I have to wear prescription glasses, I needed a retainer that I could trust to work. Being a Kayak Tournament Angler I cannot afford to lose my glasses while out fishing. I once again chose CHUMs over other brands because I know that they work. Thanks, CHUMS, for an Awesome product!!!

length of cord

I agree with several other reviews, the cord needs to be about shorter.

I have been using my chums on and on on several glasses … best product !!!
Now i need one to fixe on my very expensive prescription sunglasses , (i keep on braking the branches ) and it would work great if it was long enough , missing just few centimeters or length of a branche, for the adjustable orbiter , 😬😂

Great design, needs a shorter version

I am a surgeon who received these with my order of surgical loupes. Many surgeons use the original Chums to keep their loupes snugly in place while operating. I was excited to see these sleekly designed stainless steel orbiters as an alternative to the typical cotton retainer. The ends fit my loupes just fine, and the orbiter is very lightweight. Unfortunately, even at the tightest setting, a gap remains between the orbiter and my head. As a result, my loupes can jiggle around and slide down my nose while I’m operating. Chums, please make a shorter version of the adjustable orbiter! I would have loved using these but had to fall back on the original retainer model.

Broke too soon; warranty is poor

They broke too soon, and I'm not a heavy user. The warranty appears to be 60 days. I probably will buy something from another manufacturer.

<p>Hi Trog,

Love them

I was using a beaded chain I bought online and the grippers kept sliding off the stems of the glasses. Irritating! So I bought these and love the lightweight material and all that slipping and sliding nonsense - gone! Unfortunately I lost my glasses at the beach, but I ordered 2 new chums so that I will have a backup in case that happens again. Great product!

Gorilla tape wrap helps with thin plastic temples

The Adjustable Orbiters work fine but my surgical loupes have thin plastic temples. I've tried a number of options for this but what has worked is cutting a piece of Gorilla tape to fit, then wrapping it around the end of the temples several times to thicken them up. The Orbiters then slide on with suitable wiggling over the Gorilla tape and stay in place.

Ok, finally received - good product

Delivery was really s-l-o-w, (2 weeks... really??) but once arrived I was quite smitten with this product. Micro cables are a very discrete way to keep my slippery glasses in place.

awesome!

Great retainer! Sit comfortably on the glasses and sit securely. Highly recommended

Awesome in theory

I really like the low profile, the wires are stiff and it looks like it will stay in place. I can’t use it because my glasses earpiece are extremely thin and too small to fit into the socket.

Nice idea

I was excited to get these based on the reviews.
However the whole reason I got this model was so I could snug it up tight when I’m running or climbing.
It doesn’t tighten anywhere close enough to secure my glasses.
Pretty disappointed.
Please come out with a shorter version...
