Thomas H. Tried to fit one on at the optometrist office and it slid on the handle tightly. I wanted a different color one so bought one and took it home. I have Rudy Project sunglasses and when trying to put it on at home it was so tight it broke the rubber at the end of the stem of my glasses. I then attached it because my glasses were out of warranty to the remaining stem. After about 3 uses one of the clips that holds the floating part on fell off somewhere. I used a zip tie to fix it but my glasses don't sit correctly now so I will not be using this chum. I would not recommend this product.

Liz Do NOT buy! I got my Oakley light weight sunglasses attached to this and they sank like immediately! I paddle board and the guy at the store recommended these. WHY advertise as FLOAT?? Completely disappointed and I hope people get their money back and they discontinue this product (scam).

Britney I would do not know why they would advertise these as a floating device.I bought two of them one for my father , one 4 my husband while riding the boat my husband's glasses flew off whoxh were coasta not very heavy glasses gone absolutely sank quicker than we could reach and grab them , i really hate that you advertise these as floating.This is a trustworthy brand.And nothing about these are correct , he falsely advertised these. I would appreciate my money back.And I would appreciate it if you discontinued them, because there's a lot of people that's going to lose very expensive glasses, that's why they buy these it, they wouldn't time buying something to float for cheap glasses.Do not recommend these at all of your other ones are really good these are absolutely horrible

Andrew K. If your glasses are heavy at all they will sink immediately! Bye bye $350! Worked for my lighter cheaper pair of course, so I figured I could take my nicer pair out. Buyers look elsewhere for floating attachment.

C. I wouldn’t buy these. They float enough to lift the glasses up off your head but not enough to keep them afloat! Ask me how I know 🥹 bye bye 200 dollars!

Yadira Second one that I get. Very functional and comfortable. I like that the float can be removed and use just the lanyard.

T.S. Bought these for my husband’s prescription glasses. They fell off and sank! Luckily, my husband saw them before they went to the bottom of the ocean! Do not buy these. I paid good money at a surf shop and ended up using cheap floaters. What a rip off!

Muck Bought this retainer and put on my expensive prescription sunglasses and decided to test. Filled a 7 gallon bucket and dropped the glasses in. They sank immediately to the bottom like a rock. If you are looking for something to float you glasses look for something else.

Got these for my lightweight titanium prescription glasses in case they blew off while on my boat. Glad i tested them in the pool first because they sink slightly slower than a rock. Total waste of money.

Cedric H. Sadly this could barely float 12g. The design is comfortable to wear and stays attached very well, but if it wont keep things afloat as it should there is not much point in buying it over the nonfloating version.
Update: While these will still not float the advertised mass, chums did offer to send another floating glasses retainer as a replacement which was nice.

Angela J. These are a great concept and I bought them to prevent my husband from loosing another pair of coastas in the lake. However, they don’t float! Need to be a bit stronger. Disappointed as I spent $15/ea on 3 pairs at academy.

Jeff Like other Chums products, excellent and effective minimalist design. Float device works fine, and is easily removed if you don’t mind losing your spex overboard...
